Situated just west of Santiago, less than three miles from the Pacific, Chile’s Leyda Valley is wild and rug- ged, with challenging terrain and rough elements. Characterized by rolling loamy hills scattered with quartz and granite, and an extremely breezy, cool ocean-influence, Leyda reminded us of an untamed version of the Sonoma Coast—we could hardly imag- ine better terroir for growing Pinot Noir. Cool winds keep the fruit yields to a minimum, giving us grapes with depth and concentration, and an abundance of refreshing natural acidity.
The Show Pinot Noir is a delicate Chilean beauty, with tempting pie spice aromas, deep, wild cherry flavors balanced by refreshing acidity and mineral- ity on the palate, followed by a generous, silky finish.
